Silva EXPEDITION S SIGHTING COMPASS MS

The SILVA Expedition S is a mirrored sighting compass that allows viewing of the compass dial and the background at the same time for taking accurate bearings. A mirror-sighting compass is at its best in open terrain for determination of direction over long distances.

The SILVA Expedition S sighting compass also features an easy-handling Dryflex™ housing, silicon rubber feet, detachable safety-release lanyard, luminous markings on the dial and needle, magnifying lens, map-measuring scales in mm or inches, 1:25,000, 1:50,000 and GPS scales, plus built-in adjusters for magnetic declination (including permanent local adjustment). The Expedition S can also map-measure 1:40,000, has both a clinometer for measuring slope angle, and 45-degree angle assistance on the mirror-sighting function.
