Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.
- If the item is being returned due to change of mind, you will be required to pay any postage costs.
The item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it and in the original packaging. - If the return is a result of a defective product or our error (ie. you received an incorrect item, etc.), we will pay the return postage costs. Please do not contact the product manufacture directly.
Before you return an item, please contact us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond with instructions for how to return items from your order.
In some cases, issues with products may be able to be resolved without requiring return, such as reversed polarity of compasses due to magnetic field exposure.
You should expect to receive your refund or exchange within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return, the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days) or shipper to deliver your product.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
- Book or map with obvious signs of use
- Any item not in its original condition or packaging, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your payment provider, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges
We can only replace items under warranty if they are defective or damaged upon receipt, and if the fault is due to defect in manufacture or materials. Items damaged by the user or due to accident, misuse of product or normal wear are not covered under warranty.

Shipping returns
To return your product, you should mail your product to: Orienteering Service of Australia, PO Box 41, Hurstbridge VIC 3099
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item if the return or exchange is due to change of mind. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
